CLEANING

we clean & disinfect between guests, we do not clean daily.

there is ample street parking on 1st St in front of the inn!


please park there rather than Galloway in respect of the neighbors.

about the compass

the compass is a sustainable, modern take on a b&b, so we do things a little different here - we are a little like a lux hotel, a little like an air b&b, and a little like a cool hostel - specifically:


WE'RE DIGITAL: check in and out is fully digital. your room and front door code (its the same) are sent via email and text before you arrive - if you have any issues please respond to the email or text or call us at 503-583-2677.


WE CLEAN BETWEEN: while we tiddy up the common areas during your visit, daily cleaning is not provided for your suite. if something happens, call or text us and we can help!


WEEKEND BAKERY BAR: we offer baked goods from alea on saturday and sunday mornings from 8am-10am the cafe to enjoy at your leisure!


WE'RE SUSTAINABLE: we do our best to limit single use items and plastics and were we can we use compostable materials or recycled plastic. we have upgraded everything to energy efficient appliances! help us by recycling what you can, reusing towels, etc.


WE LOVE TO CHILL: we designed the common areas with you in mind! feel free to hang, work, make new friends, just please be mindful of your fellow travelers - quiet hours are between 10pm - 7am!


WE TRUST YOU: our wine library and advinture club shops are on the honor system, see something you love, scan the nearby qr codes and make them yours!


GETTING HERE: mcminnville is about an 1 hour from the Portland airport. unfortunately, the willamette valley does not have ample uber/lyft service so please check out our recommendations in the getting here section.

about your suite

AMENITIES

  • yes, all the snacks and drinks in the suite are complementary!
  • ice, water and nespresso are available in the cafe (7:30a-10p).


STUDIO

  • the couch becomes a queen bed. a full bedding set is in the closet.
  • the fireplace can be either decorative or heat, just please remember to turn it off before you leave.


BATHROOMS

  • to turn off the fan and the light under the vanity press the button under the motion sensor.
  • to switch between the shower head and the handheld, turn the nob on the left side of the base of shower head.

 

AC/HEAT  (its actually a heat pump!)

  • to turn off the LED light on the unit, hit LED light on the remote.
  • f you see blinking -- it means that another room is using it on another mode (hot or cold) - text us if this happens.


TV

  • to watch (or binge) something, just log into your fav streaming service, just be sure to log out before checkout


NOISE

  • while we insulated the heck out of the compass, noise may carry. we have white noise in the hallways, and individual machines in each unit, but that might not alway cut it, so please just be mindful of your fellow traveler.


FORGET or NEED SOMETHING or DID SOMETHING BREAK?

  • the closet at the top of the stairs has extra linen, cleaning supplies, tooth brushes/paste, razors, etc. feel free to grab what you need!

 

TRASH

  • we will take care of it after you check out but before that if your trash is extra stinky and you want it out of your room, feel free to bring trash into the larger bins in the cafe,  or put it in the larger bins in the closet at the top of the stairs or the trash pad next to the driveway!
